Take suitable measures to ensure that the device cannot be
tampered with and that any objects, vehicles or persons passing by
the device cannot damage any connections.
Suitable measures may include for example: Choosing a
sufficiently protected assembly location; installation of a protective
hood to cover the device and connections.
During mounting ensure that the position of the AS-interface cable
is correct and that the seals are correctly fitted, and carefully
tighten all housing bolts using the correct torque, as otherwise the
IP 67 enclosure rating may not be reached.
For some sensors a functional earth is required. The functional earth-
ing can be provided over the safe busnode UE 4215 via the cable.
The safe busnode UE 4215 must be fitted to a base FKE-A-E
(cf. chapter 9.2 "Accessories") for this purpose. The earthing is then
performed via the mounting rail or via a 2.8 mm spade connection on
the front of the base. As an alternative, functional earthing of the
sensor to a well-earthed mounting is possible, for example on light
grids and light curtains using the claw sliding nut. In this case the
safe busnode UE 4215 can be fitted to a base without earthing (type
FKE or FKE-A, cf. chapter 9.2 "Accessories"). The safe busnode
UE 4215 itself does not require functional earthing.
Mount the safe busnode UE 4215 on the selected base.
Clamp the base to a 35 mm profile rail or fasten it to a support.
