Pump
ProMinent
®
Example for simple use of timer
Pre-requisites:
- you have already worked with this type of pump
- you are disregarding the gamma/ 4 and gamma/ 5 timer programming
- the pump is brand-new (= the timer is set to "simpl" timer-type)
- the time is set (if necessary, set according to "SET"-"CLOCK"-"TIME" (see previous page or page 23)).
Task:
the pump should start metering daily at 12:00 noon (Start time) of 180 strokes/min and should stop at 14:00
(Stop time):
Method:
as the switching times are determined by the timer type "simpl" and not by the time duration, the start time
must first be set to 12:00 and the stroke frequency set to 180 strokes/min. The pump will now run at this stroke
frequency until the next switching time. As the pump should stop at 14:00, this time must be set as the stop
time and the stroke frequency set to 0 strokes /min in order for the pump to stop. The pump remains inactive
until the next switching time (in this case, the next starting time on the following day).

0 H/min
Programming:
set the operating mode to "Manual" (see previous page) if the pump is in the "AUTO" operating mode
("Auto" appears in the top right of the LCD-display)
go to the SET menu and then the TIMER menu (see previous page)
run through the TIMER menu following the path shown overleaf and set the corresponding values for the
first line of the program (DAILY, 12:00 (Start time), 180 strokes/min), using the arrow keys, go from SHOW
back to NEW
run through the TIMER menu once again following the path shown overleaf and set the corresponding
values for the second program line (DAILY, 14:00 (Stop time), 0 strokes/min), using the arrow keys, go from
SHOW to END and press the P-key (if necessary, wait until >PRG< disappears)
set to AUTO operating mode (see previous page).
From now on the timer will switch on the pump according to the settings (test!).

NOTICE
If something has been keyed in incorrectly:
- either press the i-key twice – the cursor will jump to the first character in the display – and enter the value
again
- or press the P-key immediately in CHANGE for the first program line (the display 00:TIM appears under the
now automatically consecutively changing displays). For the second program line press the arrow key once
(the display 01:TIM appears under the now automatically consecutively changing displays). Now press the
P-key, run through the program lines once more and key in the correct values
- or delete everything using D.ALL.
