Maintenance

Devices with integrated restart inhibit:
If the red and yellow LEDs on the receiver light up simultaneously,
the machine must not be used.
Check for damage to the protective device, in particular its mount-
ing and electrical connections, or to the front screen.
Check for wear or damage to the housing, front screen or electrical
cable.
Check that personnel or body parts can only intrude into the danger
area through the protective field of the C 2000/M 2000 (e.g.
mechanical guard removed).
Check that the protection is effective for the set operating mode.

7.1

Operational maintenance

Damage to the front screen
The range and sensitivity of the sender and receiver are impaired by
scratches and marks on the front screen.
Avoid scratching and scraping the front screen.
Clean the front screen at regular intervals with a mild, water-soluble
cleaning agent containing no powder additives.
In the event of damage to the front screen (e.g. a hole) the device must
be replaced.
7.2
Maintenance
The C 2000, M 2000 and M 2000-A/P units are entirely maintenance-
free. On the safety light curtain C 2000 and the multibeam safety light
curtains M 2000 and M 2000-A/P, error codes on the seven-segment
display indicate device errors.
Any wear suffered by the devices is detected by the routine checks
(see section 6.3).
