FILTER CLEANING

The references for this are supplied on the seperate
sheet 'Filter Cleaning / Tool Cleaning & Lubrication
Guide' for easy reference.
When working on the tools, do not lose any parts of the
disassembled tool and use only genuine Stanley Bostitch
parts to ensure proper tool operation and safety.
1.
Before cleaning, check that the tool has cooled
down completely, and then remove all nails, the fuel
cell and the battery from the tool. (Fig. 30)
2.
Detach the filter cover. (Fig. 31)
3.
Remove the filter from the top cover. (Fig. 32)
4.
Remove the dust and rubbish from the filter with the
genuine Stanley Bostitch cleaner [SB-TC1]. (Fig. 33)
5.
Confirm that the filter is not damaged. If damaged,
replace the filter with a new one [Part No. 192231].
Ensure that the filter is dry and free from
contamination. Replace the filter. (Fig. 34)
6.
Restore the filter cover ensuring that the filter is not
caught. (Fig. 35)
7.
Always carry out 6-10 test cycles on an off-cut of
timber before using on a finished surface, as
cleaning residue may be expelled. (Fig.36)
CLEANING & LUBRICATION
Make sure that you have read and understood all safety
warnings and cleaning procedures before attempting to
operate or clean this tool. Failure to do so may result in
serious injury.
WARNING: Make sure that the 4 hex socket head bolts
are securely attached to the cylinder head before
operating the tool. Loose or missing bolts may cause
leakage of burning gases causing injury to the user and
damage to the tool and property.

Using 5mm hex keys, remove and retain the hex
