02. Distance
Please make sure that there is a respective distance to the nursery unit, to avoid the risk of feedback. Adjust
the microphone sensitivity on the nursery unit and the volume of the parent unit so that no feedback can
result.
03. Adjustment of the responsiveness for voice control (VOX function)
It is particularly important to fi nd the appropriate sensitivity setting for the automatic voice control. The
sensitivity must comply with the possible ambient sounds. The quieter it is in your surroundings, the higher
the sensitivity of the VOX function you can set. In the event of loud surrounding noises (e.g. near running
machines or engines), the lower you need to adjust the sensitivity for the VOX function.
04. VOX function (signal reception) ON
Switch the VOX control switch (6) to the top ON position, fi g.13, the message: "VOX
ENABLED" appears on the display (4). This means that the VOX function is now activated.
A signal is automatically sent from the nursery unit to the parent unit in the event of noise
generation, which exceeds 50dB. As soon as the signal is received, an acoustic sound can
be heard from the loudspeaker and visually, the display (4) is automatically switched on. If
the noise generation is below 50dB, the parent unit returns to its idle state.
05. Sensitivity setting VOX function
The VOX function has 3 diff erent types of settings for sensitivity:
1. Level: low (LO)
2. Level: medium (Mid)
3. Level: high (Hi)
To adjust the sensitivity, please press the menu selection button (8), the menu ap-
pears in the colour display (4). Press the selection button Minus (3) until the menu item
VOX SENSE is highlighted in red. Press the menu selection button again (8) again, to ac-
cess the setup mode for the VOX function. Now, the 3 setting options LO/Mid/Hi appear –
now, select the required sensitivity using the Plus (7) or Minus (3) button. Now, press the
menu selection button (8) again and you are directed back to the selection mode. Now,
select the selection mode "Exit Menu" using the Plus (7) or Minus (3) selection button and
press the menu selection button (8) again, to leave the menu.
06. VOX function (signal reception) OFF
Switch the VOX control switch (6) to the OFF position, this turns off the VOX function and a permanent video
signal is received from the nursery unit. This enables permanent monitoring of the baby.
07. Volume control
On the one hand, volume control regulates the volume of the loudspeaker on the parent unit and on the
other hand, the volume on the nursery unit (intercom function). Please proceed as follows for the reception
volume on the parent unit: press the Minus (3) or Plus (7) button and adjust the required volume. For the
transmission volume of the intercom function, please press the menu button (8), select the menu "Talk
Vol" using the Minus (3) or Plus (7) button. To leave the menu, press the menu button (8), now select the
selection mode "Exit Menu" using the Plus (7) or Minus (3) selection button and press the menu selection
button (8) again, to leave the menu.
08. Brightness control
To adjust the correct brightness for the colour display (4), please press the menu button (8), go to the menu
item "BRIGHTNESS" using the Minus (3) or Plus (7) button and press the menu button (8) again. Now, you
can adjust the brightness of the colour display (4) as needed using the Minus (3) or Plus (7) button. To leave
the menu, please press the menu button (8), now, select the selection mode using the Plus (7) or Minus (3)
selection button: Exit Menu and press the menu selection button (8) again, to leave the menu.
09. Range control
The integrated range control is activated, when the parent unit is located too far away from the nursery unit.
In the VOX On/Off mode, the following message is automatically shown in the colour display (4), when
outside the range: "SEARCHING FOR CAMERA". In the Audio On mode, you can check whether or not you are
inside or outside the range to the nursery unit by pressing a button. Please observe that the range control
does not function in the Audio mode.
10. Checking the state of the rechargeable battery/ Battery
The state of the battery resp. of the rechargeable batteries is continuously monitored by the parent unit.
The state of the batteries/rechargeable batteries is indicated on the top right
(4). 4 lines indicate that the state of the battery or rechargeable battery has full capacity. The fewer lines are
indicated, the less capacity the batteries or rechargeable batteries have. The batteries resp. the rechargeable
batteries must then be replaced or recharged as described in chapters 1 - 2.
