INFORMATION
Using the proximal connector of the adapter plate is recommended only when using a 5R2 lam­
ination disc or the 4A94=3 TEC plate (with TPU insert respectively). The lateral connector for
the intake hose can be recognised by the internal thread for the hose connector.
Using the proximally located connector
INFORMATION
To ensure an optimum sealed connection to the socket, the following approach is recommen­
ded:
Drill the distal socket bore with a 6 mm bit.

► Apply PU adhesive inside the bore and insert the included hose piece (see fig. 12).
► Remove excess adhesive and allow the adhesive to set.
► Trim the hose piece flush on both ends.
Required tools and materials:
>
Torque wrench, M12x1.5 locking screw, TPU insert (thin) for 5R2 or TPU insert (thick) for
TEC plate, PE solid rod (PE sinter filter)
1) Screw the locking screw into the lateral connector of the adapter plate and tighten (mounting
torque: 3 Nm) (see fig. 13).
2) Press the PE solid rod into the TPU insert to the stop (see fig. 14).
3) Slide the TPU insert with the PE solid rod into the connector on the proximal side of the
adapter plate (see fig. 15).
Using the lateral connector
Required tools and materials:

Torque wrench, 2 mm Allen wrench, M12x1.5 locking screw, PE solid rod (PE sinter filter), O-
ring for hose connector, hose connector
1) Screw the locking screw into the proximal connector of the adapter plate and tighten (mount­
ing torque: 3 Nm) (see fig. 16).
2) Press the PE solid rod into the lateral connector of the adapter plate up to the stop (see
fig. 16).
3) Insert the O-ring into the groove of the hose connector.
4) Use the Allen wrench to screw the hose connector into the lateral connector and tighten
(installation torque: 1 Nm) (see fig. 16).
5.2.2 Installing the Adapter Plate
CAUTION
Improper assembly of the screw connections
Risk of injury due to breakage or loosening of the screw connections
► Clean the threads before every installation.
► Apply the specified torque values.
► Follow the instructions regarding the length of the screws and about how to secure the
screws.
INFORMATION
Note the position of the Harmony E2 vacuum pump in the prosthesis. The vacuum pump must
not bump against the prosthesis or project beyond the flexed prosthetic knee joint. Use the
4R153=1 adapter plate with offset if you require greater lateral clearance (see fig. 23, see
fig. 24).
