1.3 USE

The "Serie P" lifts are designed and manufactured solely to raise vehicles in order to carry out inspections, maintenance and/or repairs.
• The lift should be used exclusively to raise vehicles, observing the capacity limits shown on the "TECHNICAL DATA" table related to
the specific lift type.
• The lift should not be used loading only part of the vehicle (front, central or rear part) on one single lifting arm or on one pair of arms,
with the other part of the vehicle resting on the floor. The vehicle must be lifted always with its weight uniformly divided between the
four lifting arms.
• The lift is not suitable to be installed and used in areas that are exposed to atmospheric agents.
• The lift is not suitable to be installed and used in areas close to vehicle washing, degreasing or cleaning operations.
• The lift must be kept clean. Should parts of the lift come in contact with extraneous substances or liquids, clean immediately taking
off completely the substances. The contact of the lift components with following substances must be avoided:
- Substances or liquids containing solvents
- Substances or liquids containing corrosive agents
- Substances or liquids containing acids (like liquids of brake circuits, liquids of batteries, detergents etc.)
- Substances or liquids containing salts.
• The lift is not suitable and must not be be used to raise people.
• The lift should not be used loading only part of the vehicle (front, central or rear part) on one single lifting arm or on one pair of arms,
with the other part of the vehicle resting on the floor. The vehicle must be lifted always with its weight uniformly divided between the
four lifting arms.
• Please avoid using the lift in dangerous environnement where infl ammable and/or explosive substances are stored and where there is a
possible build-up of gases and vapor that can catch fi re: the electrical plant of the lift is not designed for installation in such critical area.
WARNING: The lift should only be used for the means it was designed and built for. Any other use is considered improper and therefore
rigorously forbidden: AGM-COS.MET rejects any liability for damages to persons, animals and properties, caused by improper use of the lift
or for incorrect observance of the instructions given in this manual.

1.4 IDENTIFICATION OF THE HOIST

All lifts are equipped with identification plates (Fig. 2) containing:
A) Manutacturer's marking
B) Manutacturer's address
C) Lift version
D) Machine number
E) Max. working capacity, kg
F) Max. working pressure, bar
G) Year of production
H) EC Marking
Data (C) and (D) must always be mentioned when service and spare parts are required.

2.0 GENERAL SAFETY AND ACCIDENT PREVENTION REGULATIONS

2.1 DANGER LEVELS

Always pay attention to the "dangers" signal when it appears of the handbook and follow all safety regulations.
There are three different types of signals:
DANGER: An incorrect performance of the operations described in the manual will lead to serious injuries, death or long-term health risks if the
following operations are not properly carried-out.
WARNING: An incorrect performance of the operations may cause serious injuries, death or long-term health risks can occur if the following
operations are not properly carried-out.

CAUTION: If the operations are not correctly performed they may damage the lift and/or the person.
