5.9 Troubleshooting
ATTENTION!
All the following maintenance operations have to be performed by a mechanic.
FAULT
The chain pruner does not work.
The chain (15) stops.
The lubrication is not enough
The chain (15) skips while cutting
The chain pruner has no power
CAUSE
a) ON/OFF switch (4) in OFF position.
b) Engaged inertial chain brake (12) (only
for the tool version without connection to
an extension pole)
c) Chain (15) without the adequate tension
d) Flat battery
a) Scarce lubrication. Low oil level in the
reservoir (22)
b) Chain (15) without the adequate tension
a) Scarce lubrication. Low oil level in the
reservoir (22)
b) Filter on the bar (14) obstructed by
cutting residues
c) Lubrication pump (21) obstructed by
cutting residues
a) Worn or damaged chain (15)
a) Flat battery
REMEDY
a) Put the ON/OFF switch (4) in ON
position
b) Unlock the inertial chain brake
(12) by pulling back the hand guard
(only for the tool version without
connection to an extension pole)
c) Adjust the chain (15) tension by
means of the bar (14) adjusting
screw (16).
d) Recharge the battery.
a) Add oil to the reservoir (22) by
means of the tap (9).
b) Adjust the chain (15) tension by
means of the bar (14) adjusting
screw (16).
a) Add oil to the reservoir (22) by
means of the tap (9).
b) Disassemble the front guard
(2) and remove the cutting
residues.
g) Carry the chain pruner to a
Campagnola srl Authorized
Service Point.
a) Sharpen the chain (15)
b) Replace the chain (15)
a) Recharge the battery
