4.1.2 Filling the lubricating oil reservoir

Fill the oil reservoir (22) for the chain (15) lubrication with Campagnola Pakelo 1242 CHAIN FLU PUMA oil. The lack of
lubrication may cause chain (15) seizing.
The lubrication is automatic and does not need any adjustment.
ATTENTION!
Do not use recycled oil. It could damage the lubrication pump (21).
ATTENTION!
Before any oil supply, clean the area around the tap (9), so that no impurities may enter the reservoir (22)

4.1.3 Starting the tool

Connect the connector (7) of the power supply cable (11) to the tool. If using a lead battery with converter, check that the
connection of the poles is right.
Firmly hold the tool handles (1) and (8) with both hands (picture H).

4.2 Stopping the tool

When releasing the operating lever (5), the motor (24) and the chain (15) stop immediately.
Stop the motor (24) before putting the chain pruner on a surface.
After using the tool for some minutes it is necessary to check the chain tension:
Stop the motor (24) by releasing the operating lever (5);
Switch the tool off by means of the ON/OFF switch (4);
Disconnect the power supply cable (11);
Let the chain bar (14) get cold for some minutes;
Check the chain (15) tension (par. 6.1.2).
ATTENTION!
Never lower the chain pruner onto the ground before the chain (15) has stopped.

4.3 Delivery and transport

The tool is packed and carried in a 580x120x110 mm carton box from the manufacturer to the distributor. The package weight
is 2 kg, so it is very easy to move.
ATTENTION!
The transport operations have to be carried out according to the current work safety laws.
5-
USE OF THE TOOL

5.1 Recommended use of the product

Hold the chain pruner with both hands (picture J) and switch it on the by means of the ON/OFF switch (4).
Press the safety device (6) to unlock the operating lever (5). When pulling the operating lever (5), the tool starts. When
releasing the operating lever (5), the active safety device (6) engages itself automatically and the tool stops.
When storing the chain pruner, switch off the ON/OFF switch (4), disconnect the power supply cable (11) and insert the bar
guard (3) protecting the chain (15).
5.2 Inertial chain brake (only for the tool without connection to an extension pole)
The chain brake (12) is a high safety device for the use of the chain pruner. It protects the end-user in case of dangerous
kickbacks while working. It immediately locks the chain (15),when the operator makes pressure on the hand-guard (12). It is
released by pulling the operating lever (5) towards the end-user‟s body.
ATTENTION!
The inertial chain brake (12) has always to be engaged while moving from one place to another and during the work
breaks.
