USE OF THE CHAIN PRUNER
WARNING !
Always carry the tool keeping it fitted into its bar cover (12).
Use the tool for the aims described in par. "Product description" only. Any other kind of use may cause injuries.

5.5 Connecting the chain pruner to an extension pole

By performing the following operations, the tool is mounted on an extension pole:
Screw up the ring nut (9) onto the connection (1) of the extension pole.
Screw the extension pole taking care to properly position the sealing rubber ring (10). Lock the tool by
means of the ring nut (9) using the adequate key.

5.6 Storing the tool

When the tool is not used for a prolonged period:
Check that the air fittings are free from dirt.
Follow all the maintenance indications in the manual.
Remove the cutting residues (sawdust) from the side protection (3), then reassemble and perfectly clean
the chain pruner.
Insert the chain bar (6) into its cover (12) .

5.7 Troubleshooting

WARNING !
All the following operations have to be performed by a qualified mechanic.
FAULT
The chain pruner does not
work.
The chain stops.
The chain pruner is not
powerful enough.

CAUSE
a) The air regulator in the compressor is closed
b) The air hose is clogged.
c) The chain (5) has not been tightened enough.
a) The lubrication is not enough. The oil level in
the air compressor lubricator glass is low.

The inner part of the air hose is dirty.
b)
The compressor head block pressure is not
enough.
c)
The motor is not lubricated.

REMEDY
a) Adjust the pressure regulator at 10 bar.
b) Disconnect the air hose and check
it as well as the couplings to see if there is
inner dirt.
c) Regulate the chain tension by means of the
adjusting screw (11) of the bar (6).

Top up the oil in the air compressor
lubricator glass.
a) Disconnect the air hose and blow
compressed air to remove impurities.
b)
Check that the compressor head block
pressure reaches 10 bar.
c) Check the oil level in the compressor
lubricator.
