7. Press the release button and raise the
swivel arm with the continuous-feed
shredder to the stop.
8. Rotate the bowl clockwise, empty and
remove it.
9. Press the release button and push the
swivel arm down to the stop.
10. Rotate the continuous-feed shredder
anticlockwise and remove.

Removing blockages or buildups:
■ Switch the appliance off, wait until the
drive has come to a standstill and pull
out the mains plug.
■ Remove the lid of the continuous-feed
shredder and empty the feed chute.
■ To remove any food stuck in the cutting
grid, remove and clean the dicer insert.

Cleaning and maintenance
The attachments and accessories used
must be thoroughly cleaned after each use.
W Risk of injury
Never grasp the sharp blades or edges of
the dicer insert. Take hold of the cutter disc
and cutting grid only by the plastic part!
Clean with a brush.
Caution!
– Do not use any cleaning agents
containing alcohol or spirits.
– Do not use any sharp, pointed or metal
objects.
– Do not use abrasive cloths or cleaning
agents.
– Do not wedge plastic parts in the
dishwasher as they could become
permanently deformed.

1. Rotate the lid of the continuous-feed
shredder in an anticlockwise direction
(,) and remove.
2. Fit the blade guard onto the cutter disc.
3. Remove the dicer insert.
4. Press the 4 catches outwards. Remove
the cutter disc with the blade guard.
5. Push out any remaining pieces of food
using the cutting grid cleaner.
6. Push the cutting grid out from below
with the cleaner.
■ Clean the blade guard, cutter disc and
cutting grid with a detergent solution and
a soft brush.
■ Clean the base holder by hand or put in
the dishwasher.
■ Allow all parts to dry.
■ Once the individual parts of the dicer
insert are dry, re-assemble for safe
storage, making sure you fit the blade

■ Clean the parts of the continuous-feed
shredder as described in the instructions
for the MUZ9VL1.
Note: When processing food such as
carrots, the plastic parts may become
discoloured, but this can be removed with a
few drops of cooking oil.
