2. The wire which is coloured blue must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter N or coloured black.
3. The wire which is coloured brown must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked with the
letter L or coloured red.
Warning – This appliance must be earthed.
If the unit is to be put out of operation defini-
tively, take it to a local recycling plant for a
disposal which is not harmful to the environ-
ment.
3 Applications
The stroboscope is suited for applications on stage, in
discotheques or party rooms. As a light source, it has
192 super bright LEDs with a low power consumption
and a long life.
The stroboscope is designed for control via a DMX
light controller (1 DMX control channel); however, it
can also be operated on its own or with the remote con-
trol LC-3 available as an accessory.
4 Mounting
G
Always place the unit in such a way that a sufficient
air circulation will be ensured during operation.
Never cover the air vents on the housing (e. g. by
curtains).
G
The minimum distance to the illuminated object
should be 10 cm.
1) For wall mounting, a support (3) is provided on the
rear side of the unit. At a suitable place, screw four
matching screws or screw hooks into the wall at the
correct distance; then hang up the stroboscope via
the screws.
2) For suspended mounting of the unit at a cross bar
or a lighting stand, screw the mounting bracket pro-
vided (1) to the support (3), as illustrated in fig. 1.
Screw the mounting bracket with the unit to the
cross bar or to the lighting stand.
WARNING Mount the stroboscope safely and
expertly. If it is installed at a place
where people may walk or sit under
it, additionally secure it (e. g. by a
safety rope; fasten the safety rope in
such a way that, even in the event of
a fall, the maximum falling distance
of the light effect unit will not exceed
20 cm).
3) To align the stroboscope, release the locking
screws (2). Adjust the desired inclination of the unit,
then fasten the screws again.
5 Setting the Stroboscope into Operation
WARNING Never look directly into the LEDs; this
may cause eye damage.
Please note that fast changes in light-
ing, e. g. flashing light, may trigger
epileptic seizures with photosensitive
persons or persons with epilepsy!
Connect the mains cable provided to the mains jack (4)
first, then connect it to a socket (230 V/50 Hz). All
LEDs will flash a few times and the display (6) will
show
. Then the unit will be ready for operation
and can be controlled via a DMX controller (
ter 7). However, it can also be controlled via the micro-
phone (15) [
chapter 6.1.1] or manually [
6.1.2]. To switch off the unit, disconnect the mains
plug.
For a more convenient operation, it is recom-
mended to connect the unit to a mains socket which is
switched on and off via a light switch.
Caution: Do not connect the unit to the mains voltage
via a dimmer!
5.1 Basic adjustments
The following basic adjustments can be made via the
display (6) and the control buttons (9 – 11). For this
purpose, press the button MENU (9) so many times
until the desired function is displayed. Then press the

to be controlled in sync with the master unit
(
chapter 6.2).
The operating mode SLAVE 2 must be se-
