7. 10 SHARPENING BLADES, COUNTER BLADES AND
BITS
Periodically check the sharpness of the blades and counter
blades on the reel cutter and end trimmer, as well as the bits
on the trimming unit. If it is necessary to replace them, follow
the instructions in the corresponding section of this manual,
while keeping in mind the instructions in section 7.1.
The blades and counter blades must be sharpe-
ned only on the slanted cutting face.
Trimming bits may not be resharpened.

7.11 INSPECTING SAFETY DEVICES

The safety of the machine is a direct result of the effective-
ness of the safety devices used.
Inspect the following devices once every two weeks:
• Make sure that the safety microswitches described in sec-
tion 2.4 work correctly.
• Verify that the motors stop when the emergency button is
pressed (see section 2.4).

7.12 SCRAPPING THE MACHINE

This operation must be performed by expert
operators, while respecting current laws re-
garding workplace safety. Do not dispose of
non-biodegradable products, lubricating oils
or non-ferrous components (rubber, PVC, re-
sins, etc.) into the environment. The destruc-
tion must follow current laws in this regard.
