6.2 OPERATION

6.2.1 Adjustment revision
• Make sure that the height and edge type are those needed
for the board being edgebanded.
• Place the edge in the machine, following the instructions
described in section 5.2.1: Edge selection and assembly.
• Check the amount of glue in the tank. If you cannot open
the cover, you should perform this check once the machine
reaches at least 100ºC (approximately), wearing suitable glo-
ves.
• If the edge thickness or the trimming bits have been chan-
ged, you must make the adjustments on the trimmer that
correspond to the edge and the bits, as explained in section
5.6: Trimmer control.
• Adjust the feeder height, as indicated in section 5.3: Feeder
control.
• Connect the compressed air connection and check the pres-
sure on the pressure gauge, as indicated in section 4.6: Pneu-
matic connection.
The machine is equipped with a device that
prevents it from operating if the pressure is
below 4 bar.

6.2.2 Start-up. Operation sequence

(Figure 33.1)
1 - Turn main switch A to position I, and white pilot light F
will light up.
2 - Select the glue temperature on screen M, using push-
buttons L and K, according to the instructions from the glue
manufacturer.
3 - Wait for screen N to display the set temperature. When
this temperature has been reached, you will hear an audible
signal (three beeps), the blue pilot light G will turn on and the
O LED will change from red to green.
The glue needs around 20 minutes to reach the set tempe-
rature.
4 - Start the motors by pressing button C. Green pilot light H
will light up and the machine will be ready to start.
5 - Place the board on the machine table and insert it in the
feeder, butting it against entry guide A (Fig. 33.2).
