8. PROBLEM SOLVING

8.1. POSSIBLE PROBLEMS, LIKELY CAUSES AND SOLU-
TIONS
For any type of information or problem, contact your nearest
distributor or authorised technical service centre.
Before performing cleaning, maintenance or
adjustment operations and/or replacing any
part, it is mandatory to set the main switch
to 0 (zero) and lock it with a padlock. Remove
pressure from the installation by disconnec-
ting the safety valve, and then lock it with a
padlock.
Make sure that all machine parts are cool.
8.2 PROBLEM – THE MACHINE DOES NOT START UP OR
STOPS DURING OPERATION
Likely causes
1 – No power supplied.
2 - Fuses are short-circuited.
3 - The emergency button is activated.
4 - The safety microswitch is connected.
5 - The thermal protection E (Fig. 78) is activated, due to:
- a motor overload.
- a short-circuited electrical element.
6 – Insufficient pressure (below 4.5 bar).
7 - Glue temperature is below set temperature.
Solutions
1 - Using an electric tester, verify that voltage is present on
all phases (L1, L2 L3 and N). (Fig.77).
2 - Check the fuses D and replace them if necessary (the fuses
are located inside the electrical box) C (Fig. 78). (See section
6.1.2).
3 - Deactivate the emergency pushbutton, turning it cloc-
kwise and resetting it as described in section 6.1.
4 - Make sure that the feeder and the rear door of the machi-
ne are closed. Opening the feeder and the rear door activate
a safety microswitch, which prevents the machine from ope-
rating (see section 2.4).
5 - The magnetothermic fuses E (Fig. 78) are located inside
the electrical board C and operate automatically, providing
thermal protection to the trimmer, feeder, panel and gluing
unit motors.
Solve the problem that caused the magnetothermic fuse to
blow, and reset it.
Restart the machine. If the problem persists, contact your
distributor or nearest authorised technical service centre.
