Malfunction
No display
No network connection, VNANO not online
(no Linked symbol on the display)
No DMX on Universe 1
RDM not functional
The output is always accessed
Date or time are wrong after interrupting the
power supply
Cause
No 24V voltage supply

 Unit poles reversed
Network IP address incorrect

 More than one DEPENCE in the network
with the same IP address
 DMX terminal incorrectly connected to the
terminal block
Both Universes are set to Universe 2 in the

setup menu
DMX terminal incorrectly connected to the

terminal block
The connected devices are not RDM

capable
 There is a DMX Splitter connected between
the VNANO and the devices which are not
RDM capable
 RDM deactivated
The manual setting of the Toggle Out

function is given priority over access by the
DEPENCE software
 The internal battery is low
Remedy
Check the voltage supply and ensure all

connections are properly established
The default IP address at delivery is

192.168.003.011
Ensure that the computer is allocated a fixed

IP address. Ensure that the first three
numbers of the IP address of the computer
and the VNANO match. e.g.192.169.003.XXX
 Check the terminals
DMX 1/DMX 2
Access 8.Setup and set Universe 1 to 1 and

Universe 2 to 2
Check the terminals

DMX 1/DMX 2
Access main menu 8.Setup and set RDM

Active 1 to ON and RDM Active 2 to ON
4.Port Out function: Reset the output by
means of the Toggle Out function.
 Send in the unit for maintenance.
