4. While you lift the front of the guide bar, use the
combination wrench to tighten the bar nuts. Make
sure that you can pull the diamond chain around
freely by hand and that it does not hang from the
guide bar.

To do a check of the guide bar

• Examine if there are burrs on the edges of the guide
bar. Remove the burrs using a file.
• Examine the groove in the guide bar for wear.
Replace the guide bar if it is necessary.
Problem

Troubleshooting

Causes
The power cord is disconnected or damaged. Connect the power cord or if it is necessary,
The emergency stop button on the power
pack is engaged.
The diamond chain tension is too tight. The
diamond chain must easily be turned around
the guide bar by hand.
The diamond chain is not installed correctly.
• Examine if the guide bar tip is rough or very worn.
• Turn the guide bar daily to extend its life cycle.
Solution
replace the power cord.
Turn the emergency stop button on the pow-
er pack clockwise to disengage.
Adjust the diamond chain tension.
Make sure that the diamond chain is correct-
ly installed.
