3.5. dRYiNG (RuBBER dam)

Dry working is essential for optimum results.

If the preparation margin is supragingival, the classical rubber dam method using ligatures of dental floss is
used. For restorations at the gingival, or slightly subgingival, level the rubber dam is fixed at the second
premolar with clamps and fixed to the gingiva with, e.g., Histoacryl® (tissue adhesive from Braun).

3.6. GiNGiVal REtRactiON (OptiONal)

Retraction cords (e.g. ROEKO) can be used depending on the preparation situation.
