Operating Instructions
1. Programming ON/OFF times
Press the white segments for the corres-
ponding time downwards to program the
ON times. 1 segment equals a 2 hours step.
Press down the corresponding number of
segments (2-hour steps) to set the length of
time required.
2. Setting the current time
The timer dial is turned clockwise until the
arrow on the inner ring of the selector dial
points to the actual time.
3. Connect the timer to the mains; connect
the electrical appliance to the timer
Insert the timer's plug into the 230 V Schuko-
type socket. Then insert the plug of the elec-
trical appliance into the Schuko-type socke
of the timer. The main switch of the appliance
that is to be controlled must be in the ON
setting.
4. Manual ON/OFF switching
The red ON/OFF switch on the right-hand
side of the timer enables the user to switch
the appliance permanently on. Position the
switch to the "I" setting to permanently
switch on the timer. (The segment "OFF"
setting is ignored), but the clock continues
to run. The normal program is resumed as
soon as the switch is turned back to the
"OFF" setting (clock symbol).

6. Safety instructions
- To prevent overheating the timer must
only be plugged directly into a mains
socket and never connected by an
extension cable or adapter.
- Only use the timer in dry rooms.
- Never use the timer outdoors.
- Always disconnect from the mains before
cleaning the timer.
- Only clean the timer with a dry,
non-fluffing cloth.
- Rotating appliances must not be plugged
into the timer.
- A defective timer must be immediately
disconnected from the mains and not
used again.
- Repairs must only be completed by
authorized personnel.
- As with all electrical appliances, keep
this timer well out of reach of children.
