• Despite the use of an inherently safe design, the use of safety
measures and additional protective measures, there is always a
residual risk of injury during work.
• Li-Ion batteries can leak, catch fire or explode if they are heated to high
temperatures or short-circuited. Do not store them in the car during hot
and sunny days. Do not open the battery pack. Li-Ion batteries contain
electronic safety devices which, if damaged, can cause the battery to
catch fire or explode.
PURPOSE
The satin machine is a battery-powered electric machine driven by a
brushless DC electric motor. Depending on the accessory used, the satin
finishing machine is designed for polishing, brushing, sanding, matting,
cleaning and satin-finishing of various surfaces. The machine can be used
on materials such as steel, wood, plastics and other materials. It can
remove old coatings such as varnish, paint and rust.
OPERATION OF THE DEVICE
Commissioning the device
Before starting the machine, install an accessory suitable for the work to
be carried out. To start the satinator, insert a charged battery in the socket
Fig. A7. Be sure to use only the battery recommended by the
manufacturer. To start the satinator, press the main switch fig. A4. Adapt
the speed of the working roller to the work to be carried out. Before
touching the surface on which the machine will be working, the machine
must reach the maximum set speed and only start the satinator. In figure
A5, the continuous operation button is marked. This is used to lock the
machine into continuous operation when the machine is running, there is
then no need to hold the main switch all the time. To stop operation, press
the main switch again fig. A4. and release it, the machine will then stop.
Replacing the working shaft
To replace the work shaft fig. A8, remove the work shaft guard fig. A3. To
remove the guard, press the button fig. C2 turn it to the left, the locking
mechanism will be released and it can be removed. Place the work shaft
you wish to install in the machine onto the drive shaft fig. D1 with the work
shaft side fig. D2, so that the tabs on the shaft axis fig. D2 slide into the
grooves inside the work shaft fig. A8. Place the openwork washer on the
visible side of the shaft Fig. D3, as shown in Fig. D4. The correctly installed
work shaft is shown in fig. D5. Next, fit the work shaft guard fig. A3 so that
it is applied to the axle end of the drive shaft fig. D1 in the hole in the shaft
guard socket fig. C6. Once the guard is in place, align the arrow that is on
the housing fig. C3 with the open padlock fig. C4 and turn clockwise. The
closed padlock fig. C5 was aligned with the arrow fig. C3. It is now safe to
work with the satinator.
Changing the abrasive paper on the drive shaft
To replace the used sandpaper, remove it from the drive shaft fig. A8. The
sandpaper is placed on a rubber sleeve fig. E4 fitted on the rigid roller fig.
E3. Grip the roller as in fig. E1 holding only the rubber sleeve with the
paper with the fingertips from underneath fig. E2, push out the rigid roller
fig. E1 from above with the thumbs. Then remove the used sandpaper
from the rubber flexible roller fig. E4 and apply new sandpaper.
NOTE: This may require some force, as there is a great deal of
friction between the underside of the sandpaper and the outside of
the rubber roller. This is intentional, to ensure that the sandpaper
adheres properly to the flexible rubber roller so that it does not stop
during use.
Apply the new sandpaper with the flexible sleeve so that the indentations
on the rigid roller, fig. E3, enter the tabs on the inside of the rubber flexible
roller, fig. E4, are snug. Then push the paper onto the rigid roller as far as
it will go. The paper with the roller is ready to be inserted into the machine.
Replace the roller as described above.
Replacing the brush working shaft
To replace the brush working shaft: remove the working shaft guard fig.
F5. To remove the guard, press the button fig. C2 turn it to the left, the lock
will be released and it will be possible to remove the guard. Place the brush
working shaft that you want to install in the machine onto the drive axle fig.
D1. Then place the brush so that the grooves on the drive shaft fig. F1
coincide with the grooves on the work shaft fig. F3. Next, the pins fig. F2
are inserted into the visible holes as shown in fig. F4. Once you have
ensured that the cover fig. F5 is fitted correctly, you can proceed.
MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
When the unit is not in use, remove the battery from the unit. After use,
use a compressor to blow out the unit to remove any dust that may have
entered the interior. Store the unit in a dry place. Do not expose the device
to long periods of direct sunlight, especially if it has a rechargeable battery
installed.

unit. If the unit is used for other applications or with other work tools, the

period.
In order to accurately estimate vibration exposure, it is necessary to
take into account periods when the device is switched off or when it
is switched on but not used for work. Once all factors have been
accurately estimated, the total vibration exposure may turn out to be
much lower.
In order to protect the user from the effects of vibration, additional safety
measures should be implemented, such as cyclical maintenance of the
machine and working tools, securing an adequate hand temperature and
proper work organisation.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Electrically-powered products should not be disposed of with household
waste, but should be taken to appropriate facilities for disposal. Contact
your product dealer or local authority for information on disposal. Waste
electrical and electronic equipment contains environmentally inert
substances. Equipment that is not recycled poses a potential risk to the
environment and human health.
