NOTE
The deactivation of TH1 and TH3 by a bridge can be replaced by a deactivation from the software: in the menu "Therm. fault P1" and
"Therm. fault P2", choose "is deactivated". See 6.2.1 Parameter settings.
4.2.5 Signal contacts
Four potential-free normally open (NO) signalling contacts are freely programmable: see their location in 4.2.1 Locations overview. They
can be associated with an event so that they close when the event occurs.
In case of power failure, the contacts 1 and 2 are opened and the contacts 3 and 4 are closed.
The default assignment of the signal contacts is as follows:
1 = P1 fault
2 = HW fault
3 = collective fault
4 = HW message
4.2.6 External sensors connection
The use of external sensors (floats or other type of external sensor) is possible if the internal pressure sensor is not used.
Connect the external sensors to the locations indicated below:
O
For settings, indicate the active sensor type in the "Level controller" menu (see 6.2.1 Parameter settings).
The signal voltage on the float inputs is 5 V.
NOTE
The level is constantly evaluated at the input of the alarm float switch (SWHW), independently of the selected level sensor. It is thus
possible to evaluate 2 different alarm levels by 2 different sensors. Set the alarm float to a higher level than the other sensor used (see
6.2.1 Parameter settings).
DANGER
Ö For the usage in explosion-prone areas, use either floating switches with the corresponding permission, or intrinsically
safe cut-off relays.
NOTICE
Ö The external sensor must provide a measuring current between 4 and 20 mA.
NOTE: The final value of 20 mA can be set in the menu "20 mA => level" in order to calibrate the display in cm.
NOTE: Connection of the Aqua XL floats
Aqua XL floats have a 3-wire connection cable. Cut the blue wire and connect the other 2 wires to the location provided in the control
box (see 4.2.1 Locations overview).
• Activate TH1 and TH3 in the control
box (see 6.2.1 Parameter settings).
