1. Leave the milk carafe in the machine (there is no need to
empty the carafe);
2. Place a cup or other recipient under the frothed milk spout;
3. Turn the froth adjustment dial (E1) to "CLEAN" (fig. 18).
"CLEANING UNDERWAY RECIPIENT UNDER SPOUT" appears
on the display together with a bar which gradually fills as
cleaning progresses. Steam mixed with hot water comes
out of the frothed milk spout (fig. 19). Cleaning stops
automatically;

4. Turn the dial back to one of the froth selections;
5. Remove the milk carafe and always clean the hot water
connection nozzle (A8) with a sponge (fig. 20).

Where various drinks are prepared in succession:
•
Proceed with cleaning of the carafe after the final
preparation.
After multiple preparations, the milk carafe is empty
or the milk that remains is not enough to make further
drinks
•
Having carried out the cleaning step with the froth adjust-
ment dial (E1) set to the "CLEAN" position, disassemble
the milk carafe and clean all components, proceeding as
described in heading "12.10. Cleaning the milk carafe"
After multiple preparations, there is enough milk left in
the carafe to make further drinks
•
Having carried out the cleaning step with the froth adjust-
ment dial (E1) set to the "CLEAN" position, remove the milk
carafe, return it straight away to the fridge and clean all
components, proceeding as described in heading "12.10.
Cleaning the milk carafe"
Following preparation of milk-based drinks — general
notes:
•
If the milk carafe is left out of the refrigerator for more
than 30 minutes, disassemble and clean all components,
proceeding as described in section "12.10. Cleaning the
milk carafe".
•
the carafe cannot be kept in the refrigerator for more than
2 days.
•
If the milk carafe is not cleaned, the
pears on the display as a reminder that cleaning is required.
•
In certain cases, the machine will need to heat up before
cleaning can take place.
11. DELIVERING HOT WATER
1. Make sure the hot water spout (D6) is attached correctly to
the hot water connection nozzle (A8);
2. Place a cup under the spout;

3. Press "HOT WATER"; The corresponding image appears on
the display, together with a progress bar which fills gradu-
ally as preparation proceeds;
4. The machine delivers hot water, then delivery stops auto-
matically. To interrupt hot water delivery manually, press

12. CUSTOMISING DRINKS
The intensity (when required) and the quantity of drinks can be
customized.
