1. Charge the battery fully before using it for the first time.

Removing the battery

Risk of injury by falling tool and/or accessory!
▶ Use only the Hilti tool tether recommended for your product.
▶ Prior to each use, always check the attachment point of the tool tether for possible damage.
Comply with the national regulations for working at heights.
As drop arrester for this product, use only the Hilti tool tether #2261971.
▶ Use the loop to secure the tool tether to the product as shown in the illustration. Check that it holds
securely.
▶ Secure the carabiner to a load-bearing structure. Check that the carabiner holds securely.
Comply with the operating instructions of the Hilti tool tether.

Bringing plunge unit to installation position
The plunge unit has an installation position at which the clamping screw is accessible through the
installation window. The latching lever enables you to set the installation position.
When you flip the latching lever back (basic position), the plunge unit snaps back. Hold the product
by the main grip to control the return of the plunge unit to the initial position.
1. Position the product in such a way that you can plunge with the maximum cutting depth (e.g. at a table
edge).
2. Open the installation flap for saw blade installation.
3. Set the cutting depth setting indicator to the maximum value (1).
4. Flip the latching lever up (installation position) (2).
5. Press and hold down the switch-on interlock (3) and plunge the plunge unit to the installation position.
▶ The plunge unit engages in the installation position with an audible click.
▶ The clamping screw is visible, centered in the installation window.

Removing the saw blade
WARNING
Risk of burns and cut injuries at saw blade, clamping screw and clamping flange The consequences
can be burns and cut injuries.
▶ Wear protective gloves when changing saw blades.

2. Press and hold down the spindle lock button (1).
3. Use the hex key to slacken the clamping screw (2).
Use the direction-of-rotation arrow for guidance: To slacken the clamping screw, turn it in the
direction of rotation of the saw blade.
4. Remove the clamping screw and the clamping flange.
