Information regarding pipes
 Use suitable pipes.
 Do not use any right-angled bends. Bends with a maximum angle of 45° are very efficient.
 Glue plastic pipes to ensure a permanent and reliable joint or use socket joints with clips to stop
them from coming apart.
 Standing water in pipes can freeze when there is severe frost, causing pipes to burst. For this rea-
son, lay the pipes and hoses with an incline (50 mm/m) to ensure that they are drained com-
pletely.
Fitting the filter container
WARNING
The unit is subject to dangerous voltage and must not be installed directly adjacent to the water.
Otherwise there is a risk of severe injuries or death by electrocution.
Install the unit at a distance of at least 2 m from the water to ensure that it is protected against
flooding.
CAUTION
Risk of injury due to sharp-edged components.
Proceed with caution during any work on the filter container to prevent injuries caused by sharp-
edged components.
Plan the installation of the filter system. Careful planning and taking the ambient conditions into ac-
count will allow you to achieve optimum operating results.
The following conditions must be met:
 As the filter module is very heavy when filled, Choose a suitable base (at least slabs, but preferably
a poured concrete base) to prevent them from sinking.
 Horizontally align the base slab.
– The filter system must be positioned horizontally (max. deviation d ± 5 mm).
– Use commercially available concrete slabs, each measuring 500 × 500 mm. Six slabs are re-
quired to form the necessary base of 1500 × 1000 mm.
– If you would like to connect a filter module downstream, the ProfiClear Premium Fleece must
be placed 200 mm higher. (→ Connecting the filter module ProfiClear Premium L)
 Plan sufficient space for carrying out cleaning and maintenance work.
 Drain the dirty water into the drain or far enough away from the pond so that it cannot flow back
into the pond.
 Position the inlet in the pond (e.g. via a stream or waterfall) so that it is lower than the outlet of
the filter system.
The filter system runs day and night and generates noise during the automatic cleaning cycles.
(→ Unit data)
– Please protect the general public and your neighbourhood from noise disturbance by com-
plying with the statutory noise regulations.
– Enclose the filter system so that the enclosure effectively absorbs the noise.
– Select the location of the filter system so as to avoid noise disturbance as much as possi-
ble.
If the planned installation deviates significantly from the recommendations contained in this
manual:
– Have your specialist retailer check whether all technical specifications were adhered to.
This is crucial for a problem-free operation.
