Roll Stand Assembly and Operation

Carefully read these instructions for use, which address the warnings,
precautions, and residual risks for this medical device.
1.0 INTENDED USE
This roll stand is intended to be used with the HemoSphere advanced monitor.
See HemoSphere advanced monitor operator's manual for more details.
Device performance, including functional characteristics, have been verified in a
comprehensive series of testing to support the safety and performance of the
device for its intended use when used in accordance with the established
Instructions For Use.
Installation Note:
Separate installation kits and accessories may be included with the roll stand.
Read all separate installation guides before assembling the roll stand or
mounting instruments or accessories.
Tools Required:
• Phillips screwdriver (not provided)
• 5/32" [4 mm] hex wrench (provided)
• 2.5 mm hex wrench (provided)
• 1/2" [13 mm] wrench (not provided)
2.0 Attaching Roll Stand Post to the Base
Step Procedure
1 Insert the post in the base and lay assembly on its side for
access to bottom of the base (see Figure 1 on page 29).

Fasten handle to roll stand post with two (2) #10‑32 x 9/16" PHMS (see Figure 7
on page 30). Alternately tighten handle screws until handle does not rotate
around post.

Procedure
Using a 1/2" [13 mm] wrench, attach the post to the base with
one (1) 5/16‑18 x 1" HHCS, 5/16 split lock washer, and 5/16"
flat washer.
Procedure
Install both nylon clips at an angle, in the center of the basket.
Rotate clips until both are horizontal (see Figure 2 on page 29).
Slide the clips to the top and bottom of basket. The top clip
should be touching the top horizontal wire, and the bottom
clip should be touching the lower reinforcing wire (see Figure 3
on page 29).
Slide the clips over the top of the post (see Figure 4 on
page 29). Position the basket at the desired height. Tighten
the clips using the supplied #8‑32 machine screws and hex
nuts (see Figure 5 on page 30).
Procedure
Insert mounting plate assembly in top of post (see Figure 6 on
page 30). Press downward while twisting until the assembly
snaps into place.
Rotate the mounting plate until the spring‑loaded plunger
(indicated by ① in Figure 6 on page 30) is toward the front
of the roll stand.
