5.1.3 Auto threshold (automatic audiometry)

Auto Threshold pure tone audiometry allows the operator to establish the hearing
threshold for different frequencies by way of an automatic procedure. The
method applied is the Hughson-Westlake technique, modified by Martin, which
provides a modified and abbreviated version of the method indicated in the ISO
8253-1 standard for determining the VA threshold without masking.
