3. Installation and Setup
Installing the battery
This product uses two AAA alkaline batteries.
Warnings
• Using an incorrect type of battery or replacing only one battery may result in the meter providing fewer measurements than normal.
• Some batteries may cause leakage, which may damage the meter or cause the battery to drain faster than normal. Please replace the
leaking battery immediately.
• Do not use lithium batteries, as it will cause sudden power failure without displaying the low battery or empty battery warning.

Step
Step 1: Lift the battery cover upward.
Step 3: Put the battery cover back
in place until the clasp snaps into
place. The word "SET", a horn icon,
and "On"/"OFF" will appear on
the screen.

Step 2: Insert two AAA alkaline bat-
teries. The positive (+) and negative
(-) symbols will guide you in replacing
the batteries.
Note: When the battery power is low,
you will see a flashing battery icon in
the upper right corner of the display
when you open the meter. Please
replace the battery as tests cannot be
done if the power is too low.
Removing the battery will not affect
the stored results, but you will need
to reset the date and time.
