2. Understanding the Meter
Product description
As an auxiliary tool to diabetes management, Eaglenos's Blood Glucose and Lactate Meter can be used with matching test strips and
blood collection devices (any blood lancet pens or disposable blood lancets that have obtained a valid medical device registration certifica-
te). It can measure blood glucose values in 5 seconds and blood lactate values in 10 seconds.
Intended use
The Blood Glucose and Lactate Meter must be used with the Blood Glucose Test Strips and Blood Lactate Test Strips produced by Nanjing
Eaglenos Co., Ltd. for the in vitro quantitative detection of glucose and lactate concentrations in fresh capillary whole blood from fingertips
and venous whole blood. This product is for professional use only.
The meter cannot be used for newborns.
Test principle
The test principle of the meter is based on the electrochemical method. The top of the test strip touches the blood sample, which rea-
ches the detection area due to the siphoning principle, and the measured substance in the blood reacts with the reagent on the electrode.
Then the current generated by this reaction is collected by the electrode. The meter determines whether to perform the blood glucose or
blood lactate test according to the test strip code. It then measures the reaction current, ambient temperature, sample impedance, and
other parameters to calculate the blood glucose or blood lactate value of the blood sample.
