Soiled air filters will reduce the engine
performance, increase fuel consumption
and make it more difficult to start the
machine.
If the engine performance
declines tangibly:
:
Unscrew the locking nut (1) on the
filter cover
:
Remove the filter cover (2)
:
Remove the prefilter (3) from the
filter cover
Wet prefilters must be dried before
being knocked or blown clean.
Replace if damaged.
:
Remove any coarse dirt inside the
filter cover
:
Replace the prefilter in the filter
cover so that the dowel pin (4) fits
into the opening in the filter.
:
Refit the filter cover.
