The quality of the filter elements used is
particularly important on account of the
special conditions prevailing when using
a cut-off machine (extremely high dust
loads and high dynamic loads).
STIHL air filters have been specially
designed for use in cut-off machines and
therefore meet the special requirements
imposed with regard to their mechanical
design, the materials used and the
manufacturing quality.
:
Extremely uniform pore size, folds
and strength of the filter paper
:
High compression strength and
dimensional accuracy of the filter
cartridges
All the air filter components in this
machine are matched with one another
as regards filter capacity and air
permeability.

Only original STIHL air filters should
therefore be used. The high quality
standard of these parts coupled with the
specified maintenance and service work
guarantees troublefree operation and a
long engine life.
The engine is not always optimally
protected against entrained dirt
when using filters which appear to fit
but are made by other
manufacturers. Warranty claims
cannot be accepted if the engine
parts wear down excessively or the
engine is damaged in such cases.
