Example of settings.
Settings explained:
Power:
Maximum capacity, range of adjustment between 2.5 and 10kW,
22kW or 44kW.
Temperature unit:
Unit of temperature in °C or °F.
Default temperature:
Default temperature shown in the display when switching on.
Default time:
Default time shown in the display when switching on.
Language:
Language setting for the menus, choose from English, German
and Dutch.
The following 3 settings belong together:
Continued heating mode:
Mode in which the heater maintains the workpiece temperature,
select on or off.
Continued heating time:
Time during which the workpiece temperature is maintained, only
relevant if the continued heating mode is set to "on".
Continued heating temperature:
The permissible drop in workpiece temperature before the heater
switches on again, only relevant if the continued heating mode is
set to "on" and a time has been set in "continued heating time".
The following 3 settings also belong together:
Monitoring temp increase:
Monitoring workpiece temperature rises, select on or off (serves
as a check whether temperature sensor has been placed on the
workpiece and to prevent overheating of the workpiece).
Min. temp. increase:
The minimum rise in workpiece temperature in the time set in
"rise time".
16
Rise time:
The time in which the temperature set in "Min. Temp. Rise" must
have risen.
Programme 1 to 3:
Programme related to a certain coil / inductor.
The inductor is recognised by the generator. The generator
commences operation according to the following preset variables:
temperature, time and power.
These variables can be changed by placing the cursor on
"programme 1" and pressing "Enter". In the screen that then
appears, temperature, time or power are selected using the
cursor bar and the enter tab and can then be changed.
6.8 Error messages
When in operation, the heater checks a number of parameters
in relation to the heating process. If an inductor is disconnected
from the generator or connection set, the generator will go into
breakdown mode. The red control lights at both the front and
in the signal tower (if present) light up, an acoustic signal is
sounded and the display jumps to the error messages screen.
The display shows which error has occurred or which parameter
has been exceeded by showing a red exclamation mark next to
the error / parameter.
The error screen consists of multiple sections. Scroll using the
arrow tabs until the error / parameter fault is shown.
An error message can be reset by pressing the red stop button.
You can leave this screen by pressing the "exit" tab.
Error messages explained and rectifying breakdowns
No
No communication between chopper and
communication
chopper-control.
Completely switch off the generator using the
main switch, wait for a few seconds and switch
on again. This will reset the generator.
If this does not clear the fault, contact your
supplier.
T cooling unit
Temperature of the cooling unit (in the
too high
cabinet) is too high.
This alarm automatically disappears once
the temperature has dropped 5°C below
the maximum temperature. In order to
start the heater again after the alarm has
disappeared, reset using the red stop button
and leave the error message screen by
pressing the exit tab.
Check whether the grid filters are clean to
ensure they allow sufficient cold air through.
Follow the instructions prescribed in the
maintenance and cleaning chapter.
