the device to proceed to its modification. Then, after the
transition, select the given device etc. and wait again for
about 3 seconds and the device will save the selection. The
following parameters can be set:
- "Probe Mode" - AUTO (the device will automatically adjust
the measurement method); MAG (magnetic induction - this
function is suitable for ferromagnetic metal substrates);
EDDY (eddy current principle - this method is suitable for
non-ferromagnetic metal substrates).
- "device" - selectable μm, mm or mil.
- "Language" (interface language)
- "Reset" (return to factory settings) - select and wait until
the display shows "Success" to restore the factory settings.
Horizontal display orientation - with the device off, press and
hold the ON/OFF button (2) until the display turns 108o - do

• Calibration
Press the button assigned to the "Menu" function and highlight
"Calibration" in the menu to enter the calibration options
submenu and select the type of calibration.
- "Zero Calibration"
Prepare an uncoated sample to be measured. Enter the zero
calibration submenu on the instrument and follow the
instructions to measure the sample once or several times (more
measurements are recommended). After the measurements,
the value "0" will appear on the screen. After calibration press
the button assigned as "Finish" to return to menu.
IMPORTANT: before zero calibration you will be advised to set
the Probe mode to Auto mode. Then after calibration, "Clear
Magnetic" will appear to clear the calibration data based on the
magnetic properties of the substrate and "Clear Eddy" will
appear to clear the calibration data based on the chip currents.
- "Point Calibration" (point calibration; recommended for
professional users only) - select the appropriate calibration type
in the setup menu, then press the button assigned to the "Add"
