manufacturer and to the competent authority of the Member State in which the
user and/or patient is resident.
Instructions for use/Application
The fitting of the device must be done while seated.
The systematic use of a long sock is recommended when wearing the device.
The use of a closed shoe is recommanded to strenghten the joint stabilisation.
Loosen the straps. Ⓐ
Place the ankle between the two lateral shells ensuring the shells are properly
centered. Ⓑ
If necessary, adjust the width of the heel strap, using the self-fastening areas
located on the lower part of the lateral shells. Ⓒ
Tighten the lower strap and fasten securely using the self-fastening closure. Ⓓ
Tighten the upper strap and fasten securely using the self-fastening closure. Ⓔ
If necessary, readjust the straps. Ⓕ
Loosen the shoe completely.
Carefully slide the foot with the device into the shoe.
Tighten the shoe. Ⓖ
If necessary, readjust the straps.
Use of cold packs for cryotherapy:
The brace can be used without the cold packs.
It is possible to use only one cold pack depending on the location of the oedema.
Place the cold packs flat in a freezer compartment (-20°C) for 30 minutes to
2 hours before use.
To avoid the risk of ice burns/frostbite, leave the cold packs for a few minutes at
room temperature before using them.
For more comfort, massage the cold pack to make it more flexible before
positionning it in the brace. Ⓗ
Slip the cold packs into the pocket at the bottom of the foam pads. Ⓘ
Always check cold packs temperature before application.
To avoid the risk of ice burns/frostbite, do not apply the cold packs for more than
20 minutes and wait at least 20 minutes before applying again.
Care
Product can be washed in accordance with the instructions shown on this leaflet
and on the label.
Shells and cold packs: wipe with a damp cloth.
Foam padding: remove the foam pads from the shells before washing.
Remove the cold packs from the inserts before washing.
Replace in the original location before next use. Machine washable at 30°C
(delicate programme). The device has been tested over 20 wash cycles. If possible
use a washing net. Do not use detergents, fabric softeners or aggressive products
(products containing chlorine). Do not dry clean. Do not tumble-dry. Do not iron.
Squeeze out excess water. Dry flat. Dry away from any direct heat source (radiator,
sun, etc.).
Storage
Store at room temperature, preferably in the original packaging.
Disposal
Dispose of in accordance with local regulations.
