► Protect the battery from exposure to conduc‐
tive liquids such as salt water.
► For maximum battery life, store the battery at
an ambient temperature between 50 °F and
68 °F (10 °C and 20 °C) with a charge
between 40 % and 60 % for STIHL AP series
batteries and a charge of 30 % to 45 % for
STIHL AR series batteries (2 green LEDs).
► Do not leave spare batteries unused. Use
them in rotation.

■ A battery that is not stored properly may expe‐
rience deep discharge, which can result in per‐
manent damage. To avoid deep discharge:
– Remove the battery from the hedge trim‐
mer after finishing work.
– For maximum battery life, store the bat‐

To clean the hedge trimmer:
► Clean the hedge trimmer's polymer compo‐
nents with a slightly dampened cloth. Do not

operating conditions. Actual use and your experience will determine the fre‐
