10. What if there are problems?

Problem
The maremed

will not
switch on.
The touch display shows

11. Disposal

For environmental reasons, do not dispose of the device in household waste at the
end of its service life.
Dispose of the device at a suitable local collection or recycling point in your country.
Dispose of the device in accordance with EC Directive – WEEE (Waste Electrical and Elec-
tronic Equipment). If you have any questions, please contact the local authorities respon-
sible for waste disposal.

Possible cause
There is no water in the
tank.
The mains part plug is not
plugged in.
The cover is not fully seated
on the housing.
The filters have been in use
for more than 2200 operat-
ing hours.
The UVC lamp has been in
use for more than 5000 op-
erating hours.
The UVC lamp is faulty.
The fan does not start
until after 3 minutes have
elapsed because the water
in the water tank first needs
to be sterilised before the
fan draws in the air.
The cover is not fully seated
on the housing.
Solution
Fill the tank as described in
section 6.2.
Plug the mains part plug
into a suitable socket.
Make sure that the cover is
fully seated on the housing
by pressing the cover down
slightly.
Replace the filters as
described in section 7.6.
Replace the UVC lamp as
described in section 7.7.
Wait 3 minutes after switch-
ing the device on. Once the
3 minutes have elapsed, the
FAN button
and the fan will start.
Make sure that the cover is
fully seated on the housing
by pressing the cover down
slightly.
