• Monitor or intervene if the patient experiences skin redness,

flow and mechanical contact.
• This disposable product is for single use only and is not
intended to be disinfected or cleaned after patient use. Dispose
of the product after patient use.
• This disposable product is not designed for reuse. Respironics
cannot guarantee the performance specifications once this
cannula has been disinfected or cleaned after patient use.
Multi-patient use between patients increases the risk of
infection.
• The use of a nasal cannula applies force on the head and may
affect cranial facial growth patterns. Regular healthcare professional
assessment is recommended when using this interface.
• Use appropriate patient monitoring to ensure effective therapy
delivery.
• To prevent possible patient injury, do not block or otherwise try to
seal the exhaust vent on the exhalation port when used with a non-
invasive ventilation mask or when connected to an endotracheal
tube or tracheostomy. Inspect and verify the proper operation of the
exhalation port regularly during use. The exhalation port removes
exhaled CO
mask ventilation. Continuous flow from exhalation port is required for
safe operation in all ventilation modes except for high flow therapy.
• Do not use a high flow therapy port blocking sleeve during invasive
or non-invasive mask ventilation.
Before Use Read and Understand the Instructions Completely.
• Inspect the nasal cannula for damage or wear (cracking, crazing,
tears, etc.). Discard and replace any components as necessary.
