WARNING
Sime ESTELLE HE B4 INOX ErP boilers are NOT equipped
with a system filling device. The system must be fitted
with a pressure gauge (A), to check that the (cold) wa-
ter pressure is between 1 and 1.2 bar (98–117.6 kPa)
and a loading/filling valve (B).

6.12.1 SYSTEM REFILL operations

Before carrying out filling interventions:
– check that the system's main switch is set to "OFF"
– check that the system drainage valve (1) is closed
– connect a pipe to the manual relief valve (2) and bring it to a
provisional drain

– to facilitate this operation, position the slot of the screw that
releases the check valve (3) horizontally
– manually open the manual relief valve (2) to facilitate the ex-
pulsion of air from the calorifier coil. Once the system filling
phase terminates, close the manual relief valve
– open the system filling valve (B)
– slowly charge the system until the pressure gauge (A) gives a
reading, with the system cold, of 1.2 bar
– close the system's filling valve (B) and the manual bleed valve
(2)
– put the slot of the screw that releases the check valve (3) back
into its initial position (vertical).
6.12.2 Filling the storage tank for the first time (san-
itising)

CAUTION
When filling the calorifier for the first time, we recom-
mend sanitising both the calorifier and the domestic
hot water expansion vessel installed on the system.
Proceed as follows:
– check that the domestic hot water circuit shut-off valve fitted
on the system is closed
– introduce the food-safe sanitising liquid through the drain valve
of the calorifier (C). Refer to the instructions supplied with the
product for the quantity to be introduced
– close the drain valve of the calorifier (C)
– open the domestic hot water circuit shut-off valve
– open one or more hot water taps to fill the domestic hot water
circuit with water and sanitising liquid
– when water flows out of the taps opened previously, close
them.
Leave the calorifier filled for the time shown in the instructions
supplied with the sanitising liquid, so the liquid can act effec-
tively.
Subsequently:
– drain the calorifier as described in the paragraph "EMPTYING
operations"
– when it has fully emptied, shut-off the tank drain valve (C)
– repeat filling using water only.
