PROBLEMS
Electric pump stops
suddenly

5. TRANSPORT
The machines in question shall be supplied in suitable packaging to ensure proper protection during
all stages of transport. If, on receipt of the goods, the packaging is damaged, it is necessary to ensure
that the machine has not been damaged during transport and that it has not been tampered with.
In the event of damage to the equipment or if any part of the machine is found to be missing, the
transporter and the manufacturer must be notified immediately and the corresponding photographic
documentation must be provided. Materials used to protect the equipment during transport must be
disposed of using the disposal channels existing in the country of destination.

POSSIBLE REASONS
1. Supply voltage outside the limits accep-
table for the motor.
2. Incorrect thermal calibration.
3. Motor overload due to dense/viscous
liquid.
4. Pump delivers higher flow rate than
maximum on the nameplate.
1. Flow rate too high.
2. Cavitation.
3. Irregular tubing.
4. Noisy bearing.
5. Wrong priming.
1. Worn motor bearings.
2. Foreign bodies between fixed and/or
rotating parts.
3. Pump cavitating.
SOLUTION
1. Check for excessive voltage drops.
2. Recalibrate according to the current on
the motor nameplate.
3. Check the actual power absorbed by the
pump according to the pumped liquid.
4. Reduce the flow rate by throttling the
discharge.
1. Reduce flow rate.
2. Check suction and impeller conditions.
3. Check and condition piping.
4. Check installation conditions and contact
SAT.
5. Bleed pump and/or refill pump.
1. Replace bearings.
2. Dismantle and clean the pump. Contact
the nearest Service Centre.
3. Reduce the flow rate.
