CAUTION
Check brake pads for wear, mainly before each ride.
To carry out a quick pad check:
1. Rest the vehicle on its stand.
2. Visually inspect the area between the brake calipers and pads as
follows:
•
from the lower front side to check the front brake caliper (1).
•
from the rear top side for the rear brake caliper (2).
NOTE
Excessive wear of the friction material makes the pads metal support
get into contact with the brake disc, causes a metallic noise and
sparks on the brake caliper. Therefore, braking efficiency and brake
disc safety and integrity are at risk.
3. Even if only one brake pad is worn, replace both brake pads when the
friction material is worn to about 1 mm (0.039 in).

Front pads (3).
•
Rear pads ( 4 ).

Contact an F.B MONDIAL dealer for pads replacement.
