12.1 - PROGRAMMING THE DALI ADDRESS USING THE BUT-
TON ON THE DIMMER
12.1.1 - Programming a new DALI address (using the dimmer's
button)
To assign the dimmer a new address on the DALI bus (available values "1" to "63")
proceed as follows.
Before starting, turn on the lamp, set it to minimum brightness, and turn it off.
01. Hold down the dimmer's button: the green led turns on, and then off again after
5 seconds. Release the button.
02. Hold down the dimmer's button: the green led turns on, turns off after 5 sec-
onds, and then starts flashing; release the button after the fourth flash.
03. Hold down the dimmer's button: the green led turns on, turns off after 5 sec-
onds, and then starts flashing; release the button after the second flash.
04. From the list, select the address you want to program and slowly press the dim-
mer's button the indicated number of times:
• Address 1 (= 1 press of dimmer button)
• Address 2 (= 2 presses of dimmer button)
• Address 3 (= 3 presses of dimmer button)
• Address ... (= ... presses of dimmer button)
• Address 63 (= 63 presses of dimmer button)
10 seconds after you press the button for the last time, the led will flash green
the same number of times as you have pressed the button (and hence as the
address itself).
05. Hold down the dimmer's button: the green led turns on and then off again;
release the button. If the procedure was a success the dimmer's led will briefly
flash green 2 times, and the lamp will turn on at minimum brightness.
12.1.2 - Restoring the DALI address to the factory set value
("0") (using the dimmer's button)
Before starting, turn on the lamp, set it to minimum brightness, and turn it off.
01. Hold down the dimmer's button: the green led turns on, and then off again after
5 seconds. Release the button.
02. Hold down the dimmer's button: the green led turns on, turns off after 5 sec-
onds, and then starts flashing; release the button after the fourth flash.
03. Hold down the dimmer's button: the green led turns on, turns off after 5 sec-
onds, and then starts flashing; release the button after the second flash.
04. After 10 seconds the led will briefly flash green 2 times to confirm the procedure;
the lamp stays on at minimum brightness.

TERNAL BUTTON
12.2.1 - Programming a new DALI address (using an external
button)
To assign the dimmer a new address on the DALI bus (available values "1" to "63")
proceed as follows.
Before starting, turn on the lamp, set it to minimum brightness, and turn it off.
01. Shut off power to the dimmer; hold down the external button, then power the
dimmer up again. Wait for the green led to turn on and the lamp to turn on at
minimum brightness. Release the external button.
02. Hold down the external button; wait for the green led to turn on and stay on
and for the lamp's brightness to increase; then wait for the led to go out and the
lamp's brightness to decrease. Release the external button.
03. Hold down the external button; the green led turns on and then off again; the
lamp's brightness increases and then decreases. The led and lamp will now start
flashing, release the button after the fifth flash.
04. Hold down the external button; the green led turns on and then off again; the
lamp's brightness increases and then decreases. The led and lamp will now start
flashing, release the button after the second flash.
05. From the list, select the address you want to program and slowly press the
external button the indicated number of times:
• Address 1 (= 1 press of dimmer button)
• Address 2 (= 2 presses of dimmer button)
• Address 3 (= 3 presses of dimmer button)
• Address ... (= ... presses of dimmer button)
• Address 63 (= 63 presses of dimmer button)
