Troubleshooting Procedures
This troubleshooting guide is for general aid only. A Kohler Authorized Service Representative or qualified
electrician should correct any electrical problems. For warranty service, contact your dealer or wholesale
distributor.
Symptoms
1.
No water flow.
2.
Maximum water
temperature is too hot or
too cold.
3.
Telescopic shower arm
does not raise or lower.
4.
Uneven or restricted
water spray pattern from
a showerhead, sprayhead,
or handshower.
5. Sidesprays do not slide
up and down easily.
6. System runs out of hot
water too soon.
7. Poor water flow from all
showerheads.

A. Water supplies are not open.
B. Shower valve is not open.
A. Maximum water temperature is
not adjusted properly.
A. Counterweight system does not
work.
A. Dirt or mineral build-up in the
showerhead.
A. Sidesprays are not being moved
properly.
B. Rollers are dirty or worn.
A. Hot water source is not
sufficient.
A. Water supply pressure is too
low.
B. Water supply lines are too
small.

Recommended Action
A. Open the hot and cold water
supplies.
B. Turn the valve handle clockwise to
open the valve.
A. Adjust the maximum water
temperature. Refer to the Optional
Temperature Limiting Adjustment
section.
A. Repair or replace the counterweight
system. Contact the
installer/dealer.
A. Refer to the "Correcting Reduced
Water Flow" sections.
A. Carefully pull the sidespray out
then slide up or down to the
desired position.
B. Clean, repair, or replace the
sidespray assembly. Contact the
installer/dealer.
A. Calculate the amount of hot water
needed for showering and install a
water heater of adequate size to
accommodate your showering
needs.
A. This product requires a running
water pressure of at least 45 psi. If
necessary, install a booster pump.
B. Install the required 3/4" dedicated
water supply lines.
