ers and insert the screws. Lock the spindle in place with
assembly tools. Tighten the screws with assembly tools.
Follow these instructions in reverse order to detach the
belt grinding tool and the contact rollers.
Use the setscrew to align the adjustable contact roller
parallel to the fixed contact roller. Hold firmly the hand tool
at the handle and press the spring loaded head piece flat
against a firm surface. Centre the grinding belt over the
contact rollers in the right direction. The grinding belt is

orking instructions
To achieve an optimum grinding result,
move grinding tool uniformly back and
forth with light pressure.
Excessive pressure lessens the working capability of the
hand tool, as well as the life of the grinding tool.
Grinding belts can move in any direction without warning.
Apply tension uniformly to the fixed contact roller. Tension
on one side has adverse effects on the belt run and leads
to uneven wearing.
Hold the hand tool so that the grinding belt is applied
where it is pulled by the contact roller (driving side).
Adjust the belt run at the smallest speed. The grinding
belt must run over the centre of the contact roller.
Never exceed the max speed of the grinding belt or hand
tool.
Replace a poor running grinding belt.
Never aim the exposed grinding belt side at persons.
Never reach into the exposed grinding belt side.
Work only with the fixed contact roller.
3.2 s
Hold the hand tool firmly.
Switch on the drive.
Conduct the test run at a speed less than 1000 rpm.
Slowly turn the belt adjusting screw to move the belt to the
centre of the contact rollers.
Switch off the drive and repeat the whole process at the
working speed.
Put down the hand tool so that there can be no danger.
Remove the hand tool from the shaft.
