Problem
Peculiar odor.
Sound of flowing water.
Cracking sounds.
Mist coming out from the
outlet.
Compressor indicator (red)
lights on constantly and in-
door fan stops.
Possible Causes
• This odor may come from other
sources such as furniture, ciga-
rettes etc. This odors will enter the
unit and then will be blown out
into the air.
• Caused by the flow of refrigerant
inside the air conditioner, this is
not a malfunction.
• Defrosting sound during heating
mode (on some models only).
• The sound may be generated by
the expansion and contraction of
the front panel due to changes in
the temperature.
• Mist appears when the room air
becomes very cold because of cool
air discharged from indoor unit
during COOLING or DRY modes
(on some models only).
• The unit is shifting from HEATING
(on some models only) mode to
DEFROST. The indicator light will
turn off within ten minutes and
then will return to the HEATING
mode.
