9. Close the cover lid.
10. Secure the CCU-Modul in the intended position (e.g. using
a cable tie) or alternatively use the holder (fig. 1, item 7).
11. Fasten the CCU-Modul or the holder in such a way that the
CCU-Modul can neither wobble nor slip out of place.
12. Fasten the connection cable.
!
Do not run the connection cable across the surface of the
CCU's integrated antennas (fig. 1, items 1 and 3), and do
not fix the OBD connection cable to the CCU (otherwise,
antenna performance will be reduced). Make sure the
connection cable does not create a tripping hazard.
13. Connect the connection cable of the CCU-Modul to the
vehicle's OBD interface or the voltage supply to be used
(e.g. battery in case the two-wire connection cable is
used).
i
The following steps 14 – 17 need only be followed in
case the two-wire connection cable is used. If the OBD
connection cable is used, proceed with step 18.
!
The two-wire connection cable may be used only with a
2 A fuse installed. Did not remove the fuse holder (fig. 1,
item 4)!
!
Prior to installation, ensure that the protective cap (fig. 1,
item 1) is secured properly to prevent ingress of moisture
and dust.

17. Disconnect the 12-V vehicle battery's positive terminal.
18. Use appropriate means to secure the fuse holder.
!
The choice of connection method is based on the
general installation situation and is the specialist repair
shop's responsibility. It is absolutely vital to observe
the manufacturer's requirements for the vehicle during
installation. It is recommended to use heat-shrink butt or
ring connectors suitable for the wire cross sections.
19. Switch on ignition.
? The LED must briefly light up once within five seconds.
!
If the LED does not light up within five seconds, check to
make sure the connection cable between the OBD socket
or the vehicle's voltage supply and the CCU is connected
properly and repeat step 18.
20. Attach the housing / cover.
