PROBLEM
LIGHT DOESN'T TURN ON
IMAGE CANNOT BE SEEN OR
IS DARK.
IMAGE IS UNCLEAR, BLURRED
OR HAS INSUFFICIENT CON-
TRAST.

GRADUATED WHEEL
CAUSE
Power supply not connected Check that the 6Vdc power supply
The iris diaphragm aperture
is not completely opened
Brightness level is low
Objective is not aligned with
the optical axis
Objectives or filters are dirty
The iris diaphragm aperture
is not opened correctly
Condenser at wrong height

POLARIZER
SOLUTION
jack is well inserted on the rear of the
microscope
Rotate the brightness adjustment con-
trol and check if there is an increase in
the light output
Completely open the iris diaphragm
aperture
Rotate the brightness adjustment po-
tentiometer
Rotate the nosepiece until an objective
is well inserted in the optical path (it
"clicks")
Wipe them clean
Open the iris diaphragm aperture
completely
Rotate the condenser knob until you
see a uniform illumination
