Funktionsprüfung
Suchen Sie einen geeigneten Prüfanschluss an
der Bremssteuerleitung und schließen Sie ein
Manometer an.
Lassen Sie durch einen Mitarbeiter die Hand-
bremse lösen und verschiedene Steuerdrücke am
Bremspedal einstellen.
Prüfen Sie die Übereinstimmung der Drücke
zwischen Manometer und der Anzeige des
Diagnoseprogramms. Die Reparatur war erfolg-
reich, wenn hier keine Abweichung zwischen den
Druckwerten auftritt.
Stellen Sie sicher, dass keine neuen Einträge im
Diagnosespeicher angezeigt werden.
Machen Sie eine Probefahrt.

Requirements
To use this repair kit, the WABCO diagnostic program
„Trailer EBS E" is required.
Changes need to be made to the parameter settings to
adapt the external pressure sensor.
If you have acquired the PIN 1 because you have
completed a Trailer EBS E system training
course, you can perform these changes directly
via the diagnostic program.
If you have acquired the PIN 2 because you have
completed an E-Learning course or special
training, please speak to the vehicle manufacturer
or your WABCO partner regarding a prepared
parameter set file.
Disassembly
Secure the trailer against rolling away.
Disconnect all pneumatic and electrical
connections from the towing vehicle.
Release the service brake of the trailer at the
PREV or the dual release valve.
Relieve the pressure from the brake system
reservoirs on the trailer.
Cut off the pipe – on connection 4 of the TEBS E
modulator – directly at the coupling.
Remove the coupling from connection 4 and
ensure that no dirt enters the connection during
this process.
Assembly
Screw the bulkhead coupling Item 3 into the
connection 4 as far as it will go.
Turn the coupling back until the connection at the
side points downwards.
Hold the bulkhead firmly in this position and
tighten the nut of the bulkhead coupling against
connection 4 with a torque of 35+/- 3 Nm.
Screw the pressure sensor Item 5 into the
connection at the side of the bulkhead coupling
and tighten it with a torque of 27 +/- 2 Nm.
Screw the plug-in coupling Item 4 into the
bulkhead coupling and tighten it with a torque of
35+/- 3 Nm.
Clean the outside of the brake control line and
shorten it so that it fits the plug-in coupling.
When shortening the pipe, cut at a right angle to
the longitudinal centreline. Mark the push-in
length of 20.5 mm on the pipe.
Push the plastic pipe deep into the coupling.
Checking against the markings, ensure that the
pipe is completely inserted. Apply a tensile test
of 20 ... 50 N to the plastic pipe to ensure that
the connection is secure.
Connect the bayonet connector of the cable Item
6 to the pressure sensor Item 5. Ensure that the
bayonet connector engages correctly.
Connect the GIO connector of cable Item 6 to slot
GIO 1 or slot GIO 3 of the TEBS E modulator.
Slot GIO 3 should be preferred.
Pneumatic test
Connect all lines to the towing vehicle and ensure
that the system pressure is maintained.
Apply the hand brake of the towing vehicle.
Use a leak detector spray to check couplings,
pressure sensor, and brake lines for tightness. If
leaks are detected, replace the affected lines or
couplings.
Start-up with a prepared parameter set file
Save the prepared parameter set file to a folder of
your choice on the workshop computer.
Start the diagnosis and enter PIN 2.
Transfer the prepared parameter set file to the
ECU.
Delete all entries in the diagnostic memory.
Print out a new system label and attach it to the
vehicle.
Start-up with independent parameter settings
Connect the workshop computer to the TEBS E
system.
Start the diagnosis and enter PIN 1.
Open the menu item „System/Parameters" and
click „Next" until you reach the „Function
selection" page. Click „Display special functions"
Activate „External demand pressure sensor" by
clicking into the option field. The options field
