Lightning protection

Usually it is not necessary to connect the collector fields to the building lightning protection.
The installer must enquire about any relevant law or Standard in force in the installation country.
For assembly on metal sub-structures we recommend consulting experts in the lightning protection field.
The metal pipes of the solar circuit must be connected by means of a min. 16 sq. mm CU (H07 V-U or R) conductor (normally
green/yellow) with potential main equalisation bar.
Earthing can be performed with an underground earth wire. The earth wire must be placed outside the building.
The earth plate must be connected to the potential main equalisation bar by means of a pipe of the same diameter.
4.4.

Connections

Collectors must be connected to each other and to the system pipes by means of connections provided by the manufacturer (option).
Big systems must allow fitting expansion loops or flexible joints.
WARNING: Check the pump position.
4.5.

Inclination of collectors

Collectors are suitable for installations with an inclination (α, in figure 3) ranging between a minimum of 15° and a maximum of 75° with
respect to the ground.
It is recommended to use an inclination of 30° ÷ 45° with respect to the horizontal surface.
15° ≤ α ≤ 75°
α = inclination angle
