4.4 Hygienic Preparation
Please note:
⇒ Before using the SYMPRO system for the first time, prepare the components hygienically according to
the following instructions�
⇒ Fill the cleaning beaker (2, Fig� 1) with 75 g cleaning needles (equivalent to one pack)�
⇒ Fill the SYMPRO mini-cup (16, Fig�1) with ~ 5 g cleaning needles�
Before handling the disinfectant, the cleaning object or the cleaning device system components,
take care to ensure of personal safety in accordance with national practice, laboratory and hy-
giene regulations.

Manual disinfection:

Disinfection process – lid & seal
Open the cleaning beaker� Remove the silicone seal from
the lid� Thoroughly rinse both objects (cover and seal) under
running water� Wipe the entire lid (outer and inner surfaces
including the thread) and the silicone seal (outer and inner
surface) with a wipe disinfectant (*)�
(*) Recommendation:
CaviWipes, Metrex
Fill the cleaning beaker with disinfection liquid
Remove the cleaning beaker magnets (not applicable for first
time use)�
Fill the cleaning bowl (incl� cleaning needles) with an instru-
ment disinfection fluid for heavy organic contamination (*).
For fill quantity, see Application Table.
(*) Recommendation:
Sporicidin, Contec / Metricide OPA plus, Metrex
Disinfection process – Cleaning the needles & inside the
beaker
Replace the disinfected silicone seal back into the lid or in
the case of the SYMPRO mini-cup, back into the cup�
Over the control panel set a running time of at least 10 min�
at 2000 rpm (*) and start the disinfection process�
(*) These values apply to the disinfection fluids recommend-
ed in D2 and in the Application Table�
Other settings may be required for other types of liquid or
concentrations�
Disposal of disinfection liquid
After the end of the program, remove and open the clean-
ing beaker, keep the cleaning needles with the help of the
magnet, on the bottom of the cleaning beaker, pour out the
disinfectant and dispose of according to the manufacturer's
instructions�
Disinfection process – Cleaning the outside of the bea-
ker and & sound protection ring
Remove magnets� Remove the silicone sound-proof ring /
adaptor ring from the cleaning bowl� Wipe the surface of the
cleaning bowl (incl� thread and sound-proof ring / adapter
ring) with a standard wipe disinfectant (*)�
