• Never attempt to loosen, remove, or disassemble device housing while vessel
contents are under pressure.
• Improper installation may result in loss of process pressure.

• The process connection tag shall remain with the process pressure boundary assembly

Siemens Level Transmitters with threaded type process mounts have no pressure-
bearing housing of their own and, therefore, do not come under the Pressure Equipment
Directive as pressure or safety accessories (see EU Commission Guideline 1/8 and 1/20).

The process pressure boundary assembly comprises the components that act as a barrier against
pressure loss from the process vessel: that is, the combination of process connection body and emit-
ter, but normally excluding the electrical enclosure.
