Self and personnel protection
Persons less than 18 years old must not use
the tool. Excepted from this are young persons
of 16 and over who are working under su-
pervision within the scope of their vocational
training.
Always remain alert and take the utmost care
when working.
Do not use the tool if you are tired or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol or medicines.
 One moment of inattention can result in severe
injuries.
Do not work with the tool without having been
instructed in its use.
Always wear safety glasses and ear de-
fenders. Wear stout shoes and a safety
helmet.
 The wearing of personal protective equipment,
such as non-slip safety shoes, safety helmet or
ear defenders, reduces the risk of injury.
Never carry the tool with your finger on the
trigger.
 If when doing so the non-mar tip is accidently
pressed, firing can be unintentionally triggered
and cause severe injuries.
Never point the tool towards any part of
your body, towards yourself or towards other
persons.
Ensure that you can always maintain a safe
standing position and maintain your balance
at all times.
 Use the splinter shield when firing set bolts into
concrete or steel.
Warn other people, who remain in the vicinity
of the fastening location, about detonation
noises which will arise when working with the
tool.

Safety in the workplace

In spite of the available safety devices, if
used incorrectly it is possible that the tool will
shoot through the substrate. Therefore ensure
that no persons remain close to or behind the
fastening point. Areas behind fastening points
which cannot be seen must be cordoned off
and signposted accordingly.
Do not operate the tool in areas where there is
a risk of explosion.
Keep the tool out of the reach of children and
never leave it unattended. When not in use,
keep the tool in a safe place out of the reach
of unauthorised persons.
Handling cartridges
Do not use force to remove cartridge strips.
Duds or functional cartridges that are no
longer required must be collected together
and delivered to a designated collection
centre.

General safety instructions

Always unload the tool before work-breaks
and at the end of the working day, before
servicing, before troubleshooting and prior to
the replacement of wear parts.
Always visually check the tool for damage
before initial use and after transport. Ensure
any damage is repaired by trained service
personnel prior to initial use.
Only use the tool on a suitable substrate.
Always hold the tool perpendicular to the fas-
tening substrate. Avoid working with extended
arms.
When not in use, keep the tool in a safe place
out of the reach of unauthorised persons.
Use only genuine Würth accessories
and spare parts.
